We were delighted to host Prof. Perla Maiolino, Associate Professor and Deputy Director of the Oxford Robotics Institute, for her talk: “Beyond Sensors: Towards Intelligent Perceptive Machines”

Prof. Maiolino shared inspiring insights into how soft robotics, tactile sensing, and embodied intelligence are reshaping the way robots perceive and interact with the world. Her talk highlighted the importance of physical interaction, compliant robotic bodies, and integrated sensing technologies in enabling safer, more adaptive, and more intelligent robotic systems.
